Clarifications/Vocabulary
- Syndrome- a group of symptoms that together are characteristic of a specific disorder, disease, or the like.
- 501 (c) (3)- a type of non profit that is classified with topics of Religion, Education, Charity, Science, Literacy, Testing for Public Safety, to Foster National or International Amateur Sports Competitions, or Prevention of Cruelty to Children or Animals Organizations
- Organization- a group of persons organized for some end or work; association
- Profit- a gain resulting from the employment of money in any transaction
- Expenses- a cause or occasion of spending
- Mission- any important task or duty that is assigned, allotted, or self-imposed or an important goal or purpose that is accompanied by strong conviction; a calling or vocation
- Progress- developmental activity in science, technology, etc., especially with reference to the commercial opportunities created thereby or to the promotion of the material well-being of the public through the goods, techniques, or facilities created
- Psychological- of, pertaining to, dealing with, or affecting the mind, especially as a function of awareness, feeling, or motivation
- Genetic Analysis- the overall process of studying and researching in fields of science that involve genetics and molecular biology
- Treatment- something used to deal with (a disease, patient, etc.) in order to relieve or cure
- Contributions- something given to give (money, time, knowledge, assistance, etc.) to a common supply, fund, etc., as for charitable purposes
- Biomedical- of or pertaining to the application of the natural sciences, especially the biological and physiological sciences, to clinical medicine.
- Revenue- an amount of money regularly coming in or a particular item or source of income
- Primary- first in order in any series, sequence, etc.
- Donor- a person who gives or donates
- Grant- to bestow or confer, especially by a formal act
- Federated- to unite in the formation of a political unity, with a central government, by a number of separate states, each of which retains control of its own internal affairs
- Advocacy- the act of pleading for, supporting, or recommending
- Surplus- something that remains above what is used or needed.
